Ooookay, this is going to be a rambly entry, so if you're not the type of person who's patient while reading through someone's weird rants, then GET OUT AND LEAVE. err, I mean, please click the x at the top right corner of the page and GO. ARRETEZ-VOUS, SI VOUS PLAIT. that means, 'stop please' in french. yes, I've been working on my french so far this summer and i think I'm failing. oh well- i can always transfer to spanish if i find french ridiculously frustrating, or just hard to learn. but that it would mess up my sched., and they'd have to fix it up all around again. and then i'd have to find someone to switch classes with, which I doubt will happen. so haha i don't think I'll be able to get out of that hole. at least this book is pretty darn helpful- i actually understand the stuff, THANK GOODNESS. woke up super early today- couldn't sleep. i was supposed to go with my dad to the office, but i decided to skip out today. I'll just work on thursday AND friday to make up for it :p yesterday i finished reading 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' by Tracy Chevalier, which I highly recommend. it's a really good story, as it tells the ficitonal yet with non-ficitonal details (just try making sense of that, for now) of the painting on its front cover by the artist Vermeer (yes, the painting's title is 'Girl with a Pearl Earring'). After reading it (the book's thin, but not so thin its an easy read. its a good length then, i guess. hehe) I did some quick research on Vermeer and his works of art, and it proved to be quite interesting (: I'm in awe of one of his paintings, which is the "Girl with a Pearl Earring." It's kinda different (in a good way) from the rest of his paintings, but I guess I'm partially more attracted to it because of how there's much more ...life to it then his other paintings (which you'll understand, once you read the book. don't want to spoil anything for anybody :D). and yeah there's something else that draws me to it, i just name/nail it yet. yeeeup. i gave up on my pointillism sketch and the pointillism dots after 4 days btw. yes, that is sad- i dont have an ounce of patience in my body. i just didnt feel like doing it now. but i'll prolly finish it before the end of summer or something. right now i'm painting these small (half a sheet of paper size) canvases with random bits and pieces. they're not ugly, but okay. maybe once i'm done them i'll take a pic and post it up here? idk, just tell me. but then yeah, i prolly will forget or wont put them up. no idea what i want to do with them yet, but right now, they're just staying in my room =) i need neon pink paint, just thinking about it. i wish we had art this year, but we dont. we have planning instead. PLANNING. i'll admit the course would be helpful in helping us prepare for our future and stuff, but honestly, i'm not so into it at the moment. its because of planning we dont get electives this year. AND I REALLY WANTED TO MAKE MOSAIC MIRRORS/DECORATE FLOWER POTS WITH MOSAIC PIECES D: yeeeh thats why i'm partially upset. i had waffles and sausages for breakfast- doesnt that sound good? :D ahehehe my stomach was grumbling when i woke up. it.smelled.so.GOOOOOD. eeeeh. hehehe. saw a friend on sat. and it was nice. didn't do much on sunday- now that i think about it, i cant even remember what i did :s lol, short term memory loss. OH - I remember what I did on Sunday. My grandparents sent me money ($50 bucks, wootwoot!) and I bought 4 (yes, quatre ;D) books with it at Chapters. and they had this really good offer- buy three books and get the fourth one, FOR FREE (free, free, free, FREEEEEE) hehe yeaaaah. So these are the 4 (quatre, four- man i know my french sooo WELL ;D) books I got:
  1. Gone with the Wind- Margaret Mitchell
  2. Girl with a Pearl earring- Tracy Chevalier (just found out its also a movie starring Colin Firth and Scarlet Johansson. gonna rent it out from Blockbuster =p)
  3. Pride and Prejudice- Jane Austen
  4. Hunger (A GONE Novel)- Michael Grant (this is an incredible book series, please read it. i highly recommend it.)
Its going to be the 5o0th million time I'm rereading Gone with the Wind. sigh. One of my favourite books in ALL of history. it deals with romance. the civil war. and adventure. and survival. and aaaaaah, Rhett Butler. AHAHAH kidding. he's like, 40 something -___- LOL. Eventhough the book maaaay be a tad bit long (okay, fine- i'll admit its REALLY long) - it is SO, SO, SO, SO, SOO worth it. and btw, if you're searching up for a nice arp read to get your points done and over with, Gone with the Wind is worth 71 (uhhh.... soixante-onze? LOL I HOPE THATS RIGHT) points (: yes yes- i see those wheels turning in your head ;)

Canada Day tom., and I think we're going to Steveston because of the salmon festival going on there o-o hope thats right. my mom loves salmon with a passion that could kill the world. ahah i'm overexaggerating, but yeah- she lalalaloves salmon. everytime we're at the cactus club, she orders the salmon burger. no surprise there, eh? and hopefully we'll see ice age 3:dawn of the dinosaurs.

and then on the 10th of July (or earlier, i still cant get the info out from my dad)- we'll be leaving for Portland, Oregon. TRES EXCITED. but yeah- since i STILL dont know much about this trip (besides the fact he has to attend a conference there) i cant really blab about it, except for the fact that there's no tax there (yes, you read me right) and that there's this hello kitty store there i have to go to and powell's book store which i'll definitely be stopping by. and getting meliza and other people stuff (if i remember, haha. KIDDING). i wish we could go fly back to NYC and Florida, but that obviously wont be happening- we spent so much on the trip there last year =p but dad said maybe next year. hmmmm... i guess i'll have to wait and see :)

I SAW IT AT THE PIGGY BACK PLACE NEAR THE FAMOUS PLAYERS THEATRE, AND OMGEE. AND THEN RIGHT BESIDE IT, EVEN BIGGER (yes, BIGGER) WAS A KUROMI STUFFY AS BIG (or even possibly BIGGER) AS SHANNON TAN =DDDD they are flipping cute, thats for sure =] i know its weird to be tooo excited for stuffies like thse, but you know~ I <3 HELLO KITTY.
